Wow. Like the animation style for this. Seems like Mr. Holzman was emulating Red Guy from Cow and Chicken, which is always a plus in my book. And as hard as it is to animate, I still think the "engulfed in hair" ending was just a bit too short, you know?

DuDuL responds:

I tried to find a ballance between keeping it short and silly while kinda terrifying. Extra seconds/scenes of being engulfed in hair could break that balance - but i see where you're going. I could add a scene after credits or something

This isn't something you see everyday. It's simple, silent, and... well blank. It's an insight ti life, and what people could be like, but to be honest the simplicity of it doesn't do enough. I'm unsure as to why you chose to not even put in any background music, but to even be able to do the "rough line" style of work is something else. I'd like to see more of this series, but as for episode three... just try to make it slightly less simplistic. Add in a little more motion, or as I suggested before, add some background music. I'm adding you to my"to watch" list Duong.

antdung responds:

Thanks for your input! These episodes are a few years old, and I finally decided to upload them. I have about 9 episodes, all of the same format: no sound, text, and the same style animations. I'm considering beginning another "season" of which I think I'll narrate and have background music!

I liked it. I really did. The only thing that seems to detract is that you didn't use sprites for everything, like the subtitles and Bowser Jr.'s nosebleed. So few dozen people don't like sprites. I doubt that they've even played the games that we have (Virtual Boy anybody?). Keep making these movies, because I know you work hard on them, and we all know that Super Mario World parodies and BigFoot3290 (AKA Jeremy Simms) brought NG back from the brink of extinction. Just work on bitmapping everything, and you'll do great. Don't let us down, dude.

Sunrie responds:

Yeah, memories are short for people. Looks like the score is coming back up. I wrote that when it was voted down below a 2.0...so I may keep it.

The nose bleed is actually from Samurai Showdown when the opponent is cut in half. I didn't really want to use sprite letters for the text just because it would have added a lot to the library count.

I really appreciate the review.

Wow... That's got an amazing story and really... That's all I care about. If the story is one that keeps you interested, it's one that will be told (or seen) time and again. Now, I normally don't give five stars for anything, but I know how hard it can be to do everything yourself, wih people all around the globe. This is something to keep an eye on, and I congratulate you guys on getting it out there.

I feel special :3

Overall a good outing in the world of flash. I can see that there are some things you have difficulty with, however. For example, leaning too heavily on static references influenced your character designs to the point that at times Sage looked like a mix between, Cell, 18, and Majin-Buu. Within those mistakes, Sage began to look like a man, with overly heavy brow, strong jawline, and lower lip all apparent. The transitional effects took too long, taking away some of the suspense from the action, which was somewhat slow itself. I can see that hands and 3/4 face views aren't your strong points (everyone has trouble with em though), because at time the faces seemed too fat and short, and the fingers looked like sticks. Keep with character designs for now, and focus on facial symmetry and finding usable fingers, and you're good to go. Don't worry about time, you'll improve slowly but surely.

DangerousBob responds:

Yeah thats alway rough doing hands and angled faces. I acutally used Buu and 18 as references for Sage, good eye on that one. I've always had trouble with hands and mouths too. I've gotten several comments about Sage starting to look like a guy. Whats interesting is when designing her I didn't want her to be a frail, stereotypical big boobed stick arms anime girl. I wanted her to have muscle, be built, but also be sexy, but not like 'in your face' with it. Which is a hard mix. When the fighting started she slowly started morphing into more of a monster in the end, I'm not really sure where that came from, I guess my tablet has a mind of its own.

Y'know, I honestly didn't think common sense was a superpower. And then I noticed that myself and everyone else I know lacks it.
